This is my favourite sport, the outdoor
activity that moved me for 15 years !
I thank to my parents for their early
initiation into the pleasures of this nordic gliding. As a child I was skiing throughout fields with no tracks,
on my father's back or by myself.
When I met five gold-medalist Norwegian Vegard Ulvang
I particularly noticed how a local
ski resort called Sur-Lyand was turned within 5 years by its manager Daniel DESBIOLLES
from a former lost and wild field into a cool and equiped resort with even a yearly competition.
After these first steps,
I joined the skiing school of Le
Grand-Bornand. Trained by Jean-Paul FAVRE,
I reached the 3rd rank in the French Championships at the age of 12...
The season after,
I was an official member of the racing team !
My coach François GUILLARD is still training efficient champions who regularly
rank among the three first competitors : it is not a surprise if the team is one of the best in France.
Thanks to his advice, I unceasingly
progressed to finally obtained the title of Champion of the Haute-Savoie department in 1990
and an excellent 12th place in the French Championships in 1992.

Then I turned myself towards
biathlon (X-country skiing and shooting) because the atmosphere and surroundings are
really good. Again some good results should have pushed me further on...
But unfortunately,
both a surprising surgery and intensive studies stopped me at this level...
Guess me, it is hard to bear and to live !
